hose who crossed the threshold to the FinsterWald were able to feel the emotions of the heroes from Grimm’s fairy tale and embark on their very own heroic journey.
Together with the Grimmwelt Kassel, we have developed a fairy tale exhibition that works independently of culture and language and can be experienced as an individual or group experience.
The immersive multimedia exhibition consisted of sometimes associative, sometimes concrete letter formations and was subject to constant change. The FinsterWald thus became a living being that cast its spell on its viewers growing and meandering.
At the centre was a mythical ritual space in the form of a stele circle. The sequence contained numerous open and hidden fairytale quotations, but never showed concrete fairytales. In this way, visitors could pursue their very own associations and feelings.
